ハンクウィリアムスが亡くなってから 約半世紀になります。 今から 59年前、1953年1月1日テネシー州 ノックスビル 郊外のハイウエイで亡くなったハンク、 私が ハンクウィリアムスの音楽に初めて触れたのは ハンクが亡くなってから 9年後の1962年の春でした。レコードという貴重な記録によって伝えられるハンクの魂は時が流れそして時代が変化 する中、今も 初めて聴いた時と同じ感動を私に与えてくれます。 29才の若さでこの世を去ったハンクの残した曲はレ コーディングされたものが約160曲といわれています。先日 知人がアメリカで購入してきたCDを聴きましたが私が初 めて聴くライブ録音のLost Highway が入っているなど 最近発売されるCDの中にも初めて聴く曲や録音が数多くあり ます。 優れた多くの作品により私達に素晴らしいメッセージを残し伝説の人となったハンクウィリアムス、私が所有し ているレコードとCDを整理してみました。 下のLPジャケットは洋盤 MGM SE-4227と邦盤 SL-5102 および 3枚組盤の PMS-23(Luke The Drifter).
